About Our Crew

The Helm Fishing Charters has been over 3 decades in the making. Fishing has been in our blood our entire life. Captain Mike Helm began fishing offshore at the age of 9 years old. The passion for fishing goes back to our days fishing the canyon off Long Island, NY for Tuna with a rod & reel commercially. Mike Helm (Justin’s Father) began bringing Justin along his side on many trips since Justin was 7 years old. Just over a decade ago we moved to Key West, FL to share our passion with as many tourists and sport fisherman as we could. Fishing is all we can think about or as many people may put it Fishing is life. Fishing the offshore waters of Key West is our specialty. If you’re looking for a father & son team who know how to hunt and catch SailFish, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin and Blue Marlin then you have found your guys.

Come fish with us on our comfortable 43’ Sportfish with air condition cabin fully loaded with an onboard head, couch, dining table and refrigerator. Our boat features the finest tackle you will find in all of Key West.
